Welcome to Ri-FIT-ulous

Hello, and welcome. My name is Paul, and I will be your main contributor. My purpose in designing this site was and is to provide people with solid information to help them progress in their respective fitness goals. I look to draw from the past and current greats/ gurus of fitness, the science behind it, its general history, as well as my own personal experiences with it. I believe that fitness is something that should be enjoyed. While there are lots of variables, there are general truths and principles that, when applied to any exercise routine, will lead to progress; there is also much to learn from past champions and geniuses of the field. The personal application (i.e., “What does this information mean for me?”) is very important when trying to achieve any level of fitness.

My credentials are as follows: Personal Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Specialist in Nutrition, and Specialist in Exercise Therapy Certifications through the I.S.S.A. I am also nearing completion of my Associates Degree in Exercise Science. As far as my own experiences, and from a practical standpoint, I participated in Varsity Level Football in high school at a Division I level, as well as competed in power-lifting competitions through the U.S.A.P.L. and U.S.P.A Federations. I have strength trained for 14 years, having trained others professionally for 5 of those years.
The articles that I will contribute will typically follow 3 different subject matters. The most frequent article types will just consist of general fitness advice; the other two will cover general misconceptions in fitness (under the title of "Gym-Mythbusters"), as well as cover the history of fitness. Each article will be posted to the home page every Tuesday, with the most-recent articles appearing on the home page. All of the articles can also be found under each of their respective categories along the navigation bar. So fret not if you don't see an article you wanted to read on the home page, as everything I and any other contributors write will always be available.

In short, my reasons behind forming Ri-FIT-ulous are so that I can help others achieve their fitness goals, and continue my passion of personal training on a larger-scale. If you decide that you need more than just my articles to help achieve your goals, you can find my contact information right here. I also hope to have a product line of sorts developed in the next few months or so, in addition to offering my services and op-ed's as they pertain to fitness. In conclusion, I leave you with a quote from the Great Bambino Babe Ruth, and hope that you too join the Ri-FIT-ulous crew.

“Don’t let fear of striking out hold you back”
